Using Canva can be incredibly intimidating! The best thing to do is just get started and begin creating. This presentation will act as a starting point for beginning your projects and spicing up your classroom. You do not have to be a master of Canva to create cool designs - and I hope this presentation, if anything, inspires you to get creative!
We will be going over:
CANVA TOUR - What are elements, templates, uploads, basic whats what. Based on the experience in the room we will skip this! CANVA DESIGN BASICS - Shortcuts, AI tools, and design features. We will be looking tools used for both creating a design as well as presenting a design! CANVA TEACHING TOOLS - Whiteboards, templates, embeding, recording, and various other tools will be covered to help streamline lesson plans, projects, and drop boxes. OUTSIDE OF CANVA - We will also touch on some applications outside of Canva that are just pushing the tools a step father. This includes physical projects and integrating other softwares like Genially.
I have more on this agenda than we can get through and based on the general experience of the room we can personalize what we discuss! Feel free to bring your own questions, tips, and tricks - the more people learn and share about how to use Canva the more common knowledge it will become for us all.
Even if we do not go over everything I will record a video going through the whole thing and attach it to the slide deck which will be available along with any other resources shown throughout the presentation.
